Happy Wednesday! This is Andrew from The Dog Food Advisor.

Regular readers will notice I’m not Mike.

You may have heard that Mike has taken a well-earned retirement from The Dog Food Advisor. I’m part of the team that’ll be continuing his incredible work.

And yes, we need a whole team of people to do what he’s been doing almost by himself for the last 15 years!

(This also explains why you haven’t had an email for a few weeks — we wanted to get this right.)

We know change can be unsettling and I realize some of you might have concerns or questions, which I hope I can answer.

First, we are ‘Dr. Mike Sagman-approved’. We recently spent a few days with him in Florida, learning about him, the website, and the whole ethos behind The Dog Food Advisor.

We’re now firm friends!

Mike is a remarkable man and has created a wonderful website that provides an important service to dogs and dog parents across America. 

We’re not going to do anything to ruin it!

Each member of the team is a dog parent and we know anything we write on the site will affect dogs’ health.

That is a responsibility we take very seriously.

None of us is a salesperson or marketer. We know that the best way for us to succeed is to base our work on Mike’s principles of honesty, objectivity and following the science.

We’ll also be true to the reason he started the site: Penny’s tragic story.

Everyone who was working with Mike before is staying on, too, so their knowledge and skills won’t be lost.

You may notice small changes in the future. We’ll undoubtedly make mistakes. But we would be happy and humbled if you continue this journey with us.

As Mike would say, we’ll keep learning
