Hey,
Happy Wednesday!
So, we're trying something new at The Dog Food Advisor. We're suggesting dog treats every month.
That doesn't mean we're suddenly The Dog Treat Advisor. We can’t rate dog treats in the same way we
rate dog food.
Dog treats aren’t regulated
like dog food is, so there are no official guidelines to use. Also, treats aren’t dog food — they’re additional to a complete diet, not part of one.
And finally, treats are treats! The clue’s in the name — it’s why dogs love them and why they’re so useful, especially when it comes to training. So some can be a little naughty… in small doses.
These are our choices for February's Best Dog Treats, collated by our writer Sophie (in no particular order). She’s taken great care to ensure they contain none of the nasties we want to avoid in dog food.
Jinx Chicken Jerky Bites
Sophie says: "These flavorsome chunks of slow-cooked chicken are the perfect reward for your pooch. They’re high in protein and low in calorie but still super tasty and rewarding!"
