Hey, Happy Wednesday! After the madness of Thanksgiving and
Black Friday last week, and the sadness of yesterday's email on the mystery illness, I’m going to keep today’s email short and simple. In fact, I'll sum it up in four words: clean your dog’s bowl. Cue a collective, “But I do clean my dog’s bowl!” I’m sure you do, but it’s not the case that every dog parent is doing it enough or right. The National Sanitation Foundation conducted a study that found that pet bowls were one of the top five dirtiest places in the home. I’m talking about food and water bowls here, by the way.
And I’m not being holier than thou. Many a time I’ve set my dog’s
breakfast down, gone back to my desk, and forgotten to pick the bowl up for hours. Which, considering it takes him about three seconds to eat his meals, is inexcusable. I’ve also gone to change his water and found something floating in it that probably fell off his face. How long has it been there? What even is it? So, it’s easy to be a little neglectful or absent-minded, no matter how wonderful a dog parent you are. Hopefully, this article will sharpen the focus (or make you feel great about yourself because you’re already nailing it): How to Clean Your Dog’s Bowl That’s all for today. Have a wonderful
week.
