Sustainability is a big word these days, and not just because it’s made up of 14 letters.
Americans are increasingly aware of and concerned about the environmental impact of our purchases, including dog food.
They might consider how it’s packaged, how the animals used for the meat were treated, or its ingredients’ carbon footprint.
Even with the best of intentions, though, it can be tricky to tell how sustainable a dog food is. To help, we spoke to Megan Tuttle, Director of Impact at 5-star-rated Open Farm — a company with a strong commitment to environmental and ethical standards — for her tips.
