Hey, Happy Wednesday! We’re into March now, which means
noticeably more daylight (assuming you’re in the Northern Hemisphere — apologies to any subscribers below the equator) and, in my case, a significantly more upbeat mood. I recently watched the latest True Detective season, with Jodie Foster (who famously accepted a 2021 Golden Globe with her dog Ziggy). It’s set in Arctic Alaska during mid-winter, where they go several days without proper daylight. Great show, but I will not be visiting that part of the world for Christmas.
We’re all solar-powered, after all.
March also means many pet parents are a few weeks into their
relationship with a new dog — whether a puppy or a rescue — after the winter peak for buying and rehoming. Maybe you’re one of them or know someone who is. Or maybe you’re keen to learn a little about feeding your dog. It seems like a good time to round up some of our most useful and basic articles on dog food and dog nutrition. Obviously, we have dozens of fabulous features on the site and you should read them all, but these are some of the go-tos, particularly if you’re new to all this and are feeling a bit overwhelmed. Hopefully, these will be of both interest and use to you. And if you know of other dog parents who would benefit from reading them, please forward this email to them and encourage them to sign up for our newsletters and dog food recall alerts by clicking on this link. Have a wonderful rest of the week — and think sunny thoughts.
