This, just as with people, isn’t always the case. My dog has, I hope,
a very happy life. But he’s also anxious. He always has been. And this is quite common.
My wife and I have worked to minimize his
anxiety and its various behavioral manifestations, through training, exercise and a lot of attention.
But a dog’s diet can also
affect their anxiety levels, for better or worse.
We’ve written an article on it here: How Food Can Help an Anxious Dog
It goes without saying that, if your dog is showing signs of anxiety, you should speak to your veterinarian or a qualified behaviorist. This article is supplementary to that and looks purely at the potential benefits of diet.
I hope you find it interesting and helpful, and that you and your dogs are feeling happy.
