You’ll have noticed a big market for probiotics for dogs now. Many
foods include them as additives, but mostly they’re a separate supplement.
In general, I’m in favor. My dog has a pretty
sensitive stomach but feeding him probiotics every evening has helped enormously. (Thankfully, he thinks the pills are treats.)
But like anything you feed to
your dog, if you want to give them probiotics, make sure you do some reading first. What kind of reading? Well, you can start with this article:
Probiotics For Dogs
It’s pretty in-depth, with words of wisdom from our in-house nutritionist Laura, and should tell you all or most of what you need to know. It's also worth speaking to your vet if you have any doubts or questions.
We don’t currently rate or review probiotics (this may change in the future) but if you want to buy some you can check out the range of gut health supplements and probiotics at Chewy. There are usually good discounts to be had.
With that, I wish you and your dogs pleasant digestions.
