Not that my dog is complaining. He hates the heat. The only good thing about it, as far as he’s concerned, is he gets to swim more often.
Anyway, I don’t know about you,
but my diet changes with the seasons. As the temperature drops, stews and casseroles replace lighter dishes. I start drinking darker beers.
But I don’t change my dog’s diet. Same food, same portions, no matter the month.
Is that right? Or should we all change what or how much our dogs eat according to the season?
We spoke to our in-house nutritionist, Laura Ward, and came up with this very interesting read:
Should Seasons
Affect Your Dog’s Diet?
(Spoiler: We included a different kind of ‘season’ in there, too.)
I hope you find it fascinating. Meanwhile, I’m off to dust down the slow-cooker.
