Hey. Happy Wednesday! I hope you’ve all recovered from
Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and whatever you did yesterday! The sales are quite something these days. I know we sent a lot of emails over those few days,
but when there are so many opportunities for pet parents to get good dog food at cheap prices (even for free) we want to let you know about them. Judging by the thousands of people clicking on the deals, it seems it was a valuable service. But I’m sorry to anyone who felt overwhelmed. Today, though, normal service is resumed. I’m bringing it back to some good old dog food education and a look at holistic dog food.
“Holistic” is a term we understand when it comes to human health
— the notion that caring for the mind and body as a whole is better than targeting individual parts of the body. But
what does holistic mean when it’s on a dog food label? It sounds good, right? Like wholesome or wholemeal or wholly delicious. But lots of things sound good when
they actually mean very little. Terms such as organic and natural have clear and
regulated meanings when it comes to dog food. So does “holistic” mean something on dog food or is it just a marketing gimmick?
We spoke to our in-house Nutritionist, Laura Ward, to find out. You can read all about it here:
It’s well worth reading, I promise.
I’m off to have a more relaxed few days. Well, maybe two days before I start stressing over all the Christmas presents I need to buy.
