My dog has had a rough time of it
lately, with gastric issues that went on for weeks and saw him on a drip at one point. My wife and I have rarely been so worried about him.
The diagnosis and cause weren't totally clear. It was likely severe gastroenteritis, possibly pancreatitis, but it could have been triggered by a number of things. He's a pretty anxious dog and we're renovating our garden, including his favorite "toilet" patch, so it might well have been stress-related.
I mean, I'm stressed by it and I actually chose to do it.
We're very conscious of his gut health. Other than a remarkable talent for getting grass seeds in his ears, it's his one medical issue that occasionally recurs. So as well as feeding him well, we give him probiotics every day. Which leads me to today's articles...
