Hey, Just a quick email this week. But I think it's an important one when it comes to feeding your dog.
How does the word "oily" make you feel? I'm not sure anyone gets any positive vibes from it. Oily hair, oily food, oily substance, oily men — none of them sounds appealing. Oily fish perhaps gets a pass. Yet oils are crucial to all life. And that includes dogs.
We spoke to our nutritionist, Laura Ward, to find out. The result is
this excellent article: Can You Give Dogs Oil? It doesn’t just
look at kitchen staples like olive oil. It talks about fish oil, CBD oil, coconut oil and essential oils, looking at the potential benefits and dangers of each. Hopefully you’ll learn something reading it — and feel differently about "oily".
