Hey,
Happy Wednesday!
Many years ago — in the last millennium — my parents took me and my sister to New York and Boston. It was the last vacation just the four of us took (we've had plenty together since, but with partners, kids, etc, in tow).
I have many great memories of that trip, including the bizarre experience of passing Marilyn Manson on a hotel staircase. Very tall and very pale. Not what you expect to come around the corner.
A less-great memory is of my sister getting sick and being stuck in a Boston hotel room, unable to fully enjoy that fine city. We weren't sure what caused it, but the finger of suspicion pointed towards a blueberry muffin.
It led us to believe my sister might have a blueberry allergy. However, it turned out she had an allergy to one of the additives in the muffin (an argument for avoiding processed foods).
So she's been able to enjoy blueberries in abundance throughout this
millennium.
Her dog isn't so keen on them — more a meat and veg kind of hound. But many pet parents use blueberries as a convenient, relatively cheap and — on
a hot summer's day — cooling treat.
But is it okay to feed your dog blueberries?
To answer that question, we wrote this very helpful article:
